The Lochiel Kiwanis Community Centre has refreshed their image online, their website is revamped, a new Facebook page is looking sharp and the Kiwanis Foundation couldn’t be happier.
Kiwanis Foundation Board Chair, Richard Felton, had a vision for “moving forward with a refreshed look, current information and a deepened connection with all the wonderful tenants who call the LKCC – Home”. “This update comes at a time when we all need a renewed sense of belonging in this community. The Community Centre has such a vibrant atmosphere and we want to ensure the message is out there that this is the place to be for any nonprofit/charity organization looking for a home base to bring their child, adult and family programs and services to the City of Sarnia.
“Our current tenants include Sarnia Organ Donors Awareness (SODA), St Clair Child & Youth Services, Great Lakes Dance Academy, St. Cecilia’s Conservatory Of Music, Super Ninja Obstacle Course Racing Club, Boys and Girls Club of Sarnia Lambton, City of Sarnia, Leads Employment Services, Organization For Literacy In Lambton and the Unitarian Fellowship of Sarnia & Port Huron. Numerous other local groups, clubs and families rent out our popular Kiwanis Room by the hour on a regular basis or as a special occasion. It is an affordable, comfortable, tech equipped space that is accessible by both stairs and elevator. This inclusive space will meet all your needs and you can book it securely online from our new website. We also promote the renting of McGibbon Park by the City of Sarnia, which is right in front of the LKCC. Such a large, open space it is perfect for family get togethers, events and festivals. This park is home to the SODA Jazz & Blues In the Village festival that has been running for over 15 years.
