Organization for Literacy in Lambton

Located on the main level of the Community Centre, this suite overall measures 896 sq ft.  There is a 24’ by 32’ open main space measuring 768 sq ft with 128 sq ft office/storage area off to the side. The main area has one wall of built in storage space in the original, wooden architecture. Windows open onto the west side of the building; enjoy the afternoon sun from this spacious suite.

About Literacy Lambton

At Literacy Lambton, our mission is simple — to create, inspire, and deliver learning opportunities that help people across Lambton County build stronger literacy skills.

Thanks to generous donors, community grants, and our own fundraising, we’re able to offer fun and meaningful programs for children and families. These include Baby Bookworms, Train Your Brain, Summer Reading Buddies, our Give-a-Book holiday campaign, and support for Little Free Libraries across the county — helping more families discover the joy of reading together.

For adults 18 and older, we offer free one-to-one learning support to build reading, writing, math, computer, and digital skills — plus financial literacy through ABC Life Literacy Canada’s Money Matters program.

Learning is offered by appointment, and we help adults work toward five goal paths:

  • Employment
  • Greater independence
  • Secondary credit upgrading
  • Post-secondary preparation
  • Apprenticeship entrance

This Employment Ontario program is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario.
